Everyone is welcome in our space at TILLATEC. We are a safe(r) space specifically for the queer community. We ask you to be mindful of the space you are about to enter, and to embrace and uphold the values of respect and consent. 

The following house rules are designed to ensure the safety, well-being, and enjoyment of all guests and staff at TILLATEC, in compliance with Dutch law. 

By entering TILLATEC, you agree to these rules. Failure to comply may result in warnings, removal, (temporary) bans, or potential legal consequences.

1. Age Restrictions:

  • The minimum age for entry is 18 years old. Valid identification (passport, driver's license, or ID card) must be presented upon request.

  • The club reserves the right to refuse entry to anyone unable to provide valid identification.

2. Illegal Substances and Weapons:

  • Possession, use, or distribution of illegal substances is strictly prohibited on TILLATEC premises. Violation of this rule will result in immediate removal and possible legal action.

  • Carrying or using weapons of any kind in TILLATEC is strictly forbidden. This includes firearms, knives, or any other potentially harmful objects.

  • It is not allowed to bring any form of liquids into the club.

3. Intoxication:

  • We promote responsible drinking. Excessive intoxication will not be tolerated.

  • Intoxicated guests may be denied entry or asked to leave the premises.

  • Guests who appear to be overly intoxicated will not be served alcohol and/or asked to leave.

4. Sexual Harassment and Assault:

  • Any form of sexual harassment, assault, or unwanted advances will not be tolerated.

  • Consent is required for all intimate interactions, and guests must respect each other's boundaries.

  • Individuals engaging in any form of (but not limited to) harassment, assault, racism, misogyny, queerphobia, transphobia, ableism, bullying, religious bigotry or hatred and discrimination of any kind, will be removed from the premises. If you experience or witness this, please report it immediately to our staff or awareness team.

5. Smoking Policy:

  • Smoking is only allowed in designated smoking areas. These are the two gardens at TILLATEC. Smoking inside the venue is not allowed.

6. Dress Code:

  • TILLATEC encourages self-expression through fashion, but we also uphold a dress code that promotes a safer and welcoming atmosphere.

  • For safety reasons, we require all guests to wear appropriate footwear. This includes avoiding open shoes or thin- soled footwear. Entry may be denied if your footwear is not appropriate. 

  • Dressing in a way that may be considered offensive is not allowed.

  • Our staff reserves the right to refuse entry to individuals not complying with the dress code.

7. Photography and Recording:

  • Strictly no photography or videography is allowed inside the club. Violation of this policy may result in immediate removal. We cover the cameras on your phones with a sticker at the entrance. Do not remove these during your time in our space.

  • If photography is allowed during special events, you will be informed at the door beforehand.

  • To ensure the safety and security of all guests, as well as to safeguard our premises, we use camera surveillance.

9. Respect for Staff and Property:

  • Treat our staff with respect and courtesy. Any form of verbal or physical abuse towards staff members will not be tolerated and will result in removal. 

  • Guests are responsible for any damage caused to TILLATEC property. Vandalism will be reported to the authorities.

10. Noise and Behaviour:

  • Please be mindful of noise levels, both inside and outside the club, to ensure a harmonious environment for all. Disorderly behaviour, including fighting or engaging in aggressive actions, will lead to immediate removal from the club and potential bans. 

11. Liability:

  • TILLATEC is not responsible for lost items in the club or lockers.

  • Our club lighting plan may pose a risk to individuals with epilepsy or a history of stroke. TILLATEC absolves itself of any responsibility for potential harm or consequences.

12. Compliance with Dutch Law:

  • All guests must adhere to Dutch law while on club premises.

  • The club may cooperate fully with law enforcement authorities if necessary.
